Come an enjoy a unique camping experience at Welcome Woods Family Campground. We offer year around camping. There are 150 lots that are equipped with electric and water hookup. We have a nice shower house. The park has key card access. Huge Oak, Maple, Ash and Walnut trees shade the campgound. The lots are spacious on over 22 acres. We also offer primitive camping for those that like the outdoorsmanship feeling. Each campsite is equipped with a fire ring and we do have firewood available. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. The campground is located across the street from the lake, close to the Moundwood ramp, and near downtown Russells Point, Ohio. There are lots of opportunities for family activities after which your family can relax at one of our beautiful, quiet and secluded campsites.
The park welcomes large groups, host for fishing tournaments, as well as large gatherings such as family and school reunions. We are also illustrated in the "Ohio Camper Magazine".

Rates are:

Tent camping: $20.00 per night for (2) people per tent / $5.00 for each additional person.
Kids 14 years or younger no charge.
$25.00 per night with electric and water hook ups for (2) people per night per *unit.
$5.00 for each additional person. Kids 14 years or younger no charge.
*Unit means a tent, camper, pop up, truck or vehicle to sleep in.
$125.00 per week.
$250.00 per month.
$775.00 per year.
*Boat, camper, pontoon storage is $12.50 per month.

     The park has (2) seasonal parts. The main part of camping is from May 1st thru the end of October of the same year. This is the Spring-Summer part that includes the shower house and water. From November 1st thru April 30th of the following year is the Fall - Winter part. You still have access to your camper but without water. Most people have bottled water along with a port-a-poti and propane or electric heat.
     If a camper has a permanent spot for which continues to camp after May 1st of the following year there is no storage fee. If a person does not camp the following year there is a storage fee of $12.50 from November 1st thru April 30th of the following year.
If a person camps for more than (3) days, an electric meter is placed on the site for which the camper is responsible for the electric. The rate is .15 per kwh.
     Note: There is a $20.00 security deposit for a gate key card. The deposit is refunded once the card is returned to the park when your camping has ended.
     *We do not take reservations as we operate on a first come first serve basis. However we will take your name, address and phone number and the dates that you plan on coming. We handle everyone on an individual basis. Over the years this seems to work the best.
